Slow Adventures - Tor McIntosh
Book Feature
We are proud and thrilled to announce that we are featured in a chapter of Tor McIntosh's stunning new book 'Slow Adventures - Unhurriedly Exploring Britains's Wild Places.'
We think the title perfectly compliments our ethos here at Tirio! We had the pleasure of spending a few days with Tor, along with our good friend Gordon Stovin - camp cook extraordinaire - here in Snowdonia back in 2019.
Her chapter on 'Packrafting in Snowdonia' features our Welsh Legends Packraft Adventure. It was a delight to share the legends behind the stunning scenery of the Nant Gwynant Valley beneath Snowdon. It's so great to finally see the fruits of those few days here on the pages of Tor's stunning book.
Published by the Pavilion Books for the National Trust and available at all good book shops from March 4th - we've certainly got ours on pre-order!

It really is Wild and Wonderful news! Honoured & excited to be included in The Guardian Travel's 20 Best Outdoor Activity breaks in the UK list. Even more special, we gained a 'Best for Wild Living' recognition. Very happy here at Tirio HQ!
We are proud members of the Gather Outdoors family, a collaboration of likeminded folk helping others to live more fulfilling lives outdoors, minimising their environmental footprint as they go.
Humbled to be linked to their 'Adventurous Ink' offering, 'Wild Guide to Wales'. It was great to meet up & paddle with fellow Gather Ambassadors recently and show them what we're all about!
We are really proud to announce that our Packraft Adventures have been featured in the Spring edition of Outdoor Enthusiast Magazine.
We were fortunate enough to take the lovely Chantelle Kelly out to show her what a Packraft Adventure is all about.
