Wild Living Skills
experiment • learn • adapt
Just above the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, under the lush canopy of old Oak trees, in a tranquil glade, sits the Tirio Wild Living Lab.
Filled with natural silence - bird song, rustle, leaf crunch and wind-play - step away from the sounds of civilisation.
Surrounded by a low corral fence, the large shelter against the natural crag wall gives welcome shade in sun and cover in rain. Its hazel woven sides hide hand sawn benches, ample enough seating for ten, in front of it all sits a large stone fire hearth for all to cook, warm and watch.
Just what goes on in the Wild Living Lab?!
The Wild Living Lab isn't the tree, earth, benches, fire pit, canvas shelter or any of the 'things'; it is the ideas and the connections made between those minds that are invited in.
Underpinned by your passion for the outdoors, as part of the Lab team you will discover, experiment, learn, adapt and advance your skills. 'Peer-up' with experts to evolve and 'hack' outdoor techniques, create your own 'take' on the ideas to truly enable your own adventure.
Intense and engaging days need relaxing and social evenings - meditate on your discoveries over fire cooked food, maybe a glass of wine or a local ale or two. Fun nights in front of the fire, laugh as the flames flicker, share stories and connect...
We like to connect with like-minded folk who can help to bring you the very best of what the Lab has to offer.
As Tirio Alumni you'll have great memories, a re-invigorated skill set and most importantly you'll leave the lab with a desire to get out there and use what you know.
Hey, maybe you'll come back to share your discoveries in a later Tirio Lab event!
